Bvlgari41mm Ref BB41S Automatic Watch

Q: What is the Bvlgari Bulgari Bulgari 41mm Ref. BB41S?
A: It’s a vintage, Swiss‑made automatic watch with a 41mm stainless‑steel case and bracelet, a black dial with date, the iconic engraved “BVLGARI BVLGARI” bezel, and a transparent case back to view the movement. This example is in good pre‑loved condition with light scratches and is delivered with no accessories as stated.

Q: Which movement does it use and what is the power reserve?
A: BB41S models typically house a Swiss automatic movement (often Bulgari’s BVL 191 “Solotempo”), with a power reserve around 42 hours. Exact calibre can vary; we’re happy to confirm the movement in this specific watch upon request.

Q: How do I wind and set the time/date safely?
A: If the watch has stopped, wind the crown about 20–40 turns to start it. Pull the crown to the first position to set the date (if applicable) and to the second position to set the time. Avoid changing the date between roughly 8pm and 2am. When finished, push the crown back in firmly to help maintain light moisture resistance.

Q: Is it water‑resistant and can I swim with it?
A: As a vintage piece, water resistance cannot be guaranteed without recent servicing and pressure testing. Treat it as splash‑resistant at best and avoid swimming, showering or submersion. If moisture resistance is important, have the gaskets inspected/replaced and the watch professionally tested, and always ensure the crown is fully pushed in.

Q: What type of crystal does it have?
A: Bulgari Bulgari models of this era typically feature a scratch‑resistant sapphire crystal and an exhibition (transparent) case back. We can confirm the crystal specifications on this exact watch upon request.

Q: Will it fit my wrist, and can the bracelet be resized?
A: This watch fits a wrist up to approximately 17cm as listed. The steel bracelet can be resized by adding or removing links; we can size it prior to dispatch. Additional genuine links may be sourced subject to availability—share your wrist measurement and we’ll advise options.

Q: What are the dimensions and how does it wear?
A: The case is 41mm in diameter with an approximate case depth of 10mm, and the bracelet width is about 2.1cm. It offers a balanced, modern‑classic presence that suits many medium wrists and works well for both formal occasions and refined everyday wear.

Q: What makes the “BVLGARI BVLGARI” bezel special?
A: The double‑engraved bezel is a hallmark of the Bulgari Bulgari line, inspired by ancient Roman coin iconography and Bulgari’s Roman heritage. It gives the watch a distinctive, luxurious identity while remaining timeless and versatile.

Q: How should I care for the stainless‑steel case/bracelet?
A: Wipe surfaces with a soft, dry microfibre cloth. Avoid abrasive polishes, harsh chemicals, perfumes and solvents. Light scratches are normal on vintage steel and can be refined by a professional if desired. Keep the watch away from strong magnets, extreme heat and moisture, and store it in a dry place when not in use.

Q: What accuracy and service interval should I expect?
A: A healthy Swiss automatic should keep good time, though performance varies with age and service history. A routine service every 5–10 years is sensible, or sooner if accuracy or moisture resistance is a concern. All our watches include a 12‑month mechanical guarantee for peace of mind.
