ChanelClassic Small Double Flap Bag

Q: What size is this Chanel Classic Small Double Flap Bag?
A: This bag measures approximately 23 x 14 x 6 cm. The strap drop is approximately 23/43 cm, making it a compact classic flap size that is well suited to day-to-evening use.

Q: What typically fits inside a Chanel Small Double Flap Bag?
A: This size is best for essentials. It will generally fit a phone, cardholder or slim wallet, keys, lipstick, and a few small daily items. Because this is a double flap style, the interior is more structured than some other flap bags, so bulkier items may feel tight.

Q: Can this bag be worn on the shoulder or crossbody?
A: Yes. The leather-woven chain strap can be worn doubled for a shorter shoulder carry or worn longer on the shoulder. Depending on your height and styling preference, the longer drop may also work for a crossbody-style look, but it typically sits best as a shoulder bag.

Q: What is a double flap design?
A: A double flap bag has both the main front flap and an additional inner flap. Many collectors like this construction because it helps give the bag its classic structure and iconic feel, although it does make the interior slightly more compact than a single-flap style.

Q: What colour and details does this bag have?
A: This piece is crafted in black quilted leather with silver-tone hardware. It also features a chain shoulder strap woven with leather, a burgundy leather lining with internal pockets, a double flap with CC turn-lock closure, and an exterior rear slip pocket.

Q: What is the condition of this item?
A: The overall condition is Very Good. The exterior and interior both show light traces of use, and the hardware remains shiny with light scratches. As with all vintage pieces, minor signs of age and wear are part of the bag’s character.

Q: What is included with the bag?
A: This item includes product information in the form of a serial number tag. If any other extras are not listed in the product information, they are not included with this piece.

Q: Where was this bag made?
A: The country of origin label states France.

Q: Is the serial number readable?
A: The bag has a serial number tag present, but the serial number itself is listed as illegible. This can happen on vintage Chanel pieces due to age and wear.

Q: How should I care for this vintage Chanel bag?
A: Store it upright in a breathable dust bag, lightly stuffed to help maintain shape, and avoid overfilling. Keep it away from prolonged sunlight, heat, humidity, and colour transfer from dark or delicate fabrics. For routine care, wipe gently with a soft cloth and handle the leather and hardware with care.
