ChloéMedium Paddington Bag

Q: What typically fits inside the Chloé Medium Paddington Bag?
A: With approximate measurements of 36 x 17 x 21 cm, it comfortably fits daily essentials such as a phone, long wallet, keys, sunglasses, a small cosmetics pouch and other compact items. It is better suited to everyday essentials than laptops or large A4 documents.

Q: Is the Paddington known to be heavy?
A: Yes. One of the most frequently mentioned traits of the Paddington is its weight, which comes from the thick leather and signature padlock hardware. This medium size still has a substantial feel, so it suits buyers who enjoy statement bags rather than ultra-light styles.

Q: Do you have to unlock the padlock every time you open the bag?
A: No. The signature padlock can be used functionally, but many owners also wear it as a decorative detail and use the top zip for everyday access. This item includes both the padlock and key.

Q: Can this bag be carried on the shoulder?
A: Usually, yes. This bag has dual handles with an approximate drop of 20 cm, so it can often be worn on the shoulder as well as in the hand or on the arm. The fit will depend on your frame and what you are wearing.

Q: What is inside the bag?
A: The interior is lined in brown fabric and includes one internal zip pocket for smaller essentials. It closes with a top zip and features the Paddington's signature padlock and key detail.

Q: What product information is included with this item?
A: According to the product information for this listing, the bag comes with a dust bag, authenticity card, padlock and key.

Q: How do you authenticate a Chloé Paddington bag?
A: Paddington bags are commonly checked for supple grained leather, precise stitching, crisp Chloé branding, quality hardware and correct internal stamping details. Every item at A Retro Tale is professionally vetted by in-house experts before sale.

Q: How should I care for vintage Paddington leather?
A: Wipe it gently with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth, avoid overfilling, and keep it away from prolonged moisture, direct heat and strong sunlight. When stored, keep it lightly stuffed in its dust bag so the shape is maintained and the padlock does not rub against the leather.

Q: What condition is this particular bag in?
A: This example is listed in very good vintage condition. The exterior shows visible scuffing on the leather, the interior has light traces of use, and the hardware remains shiny with light scratches. Made in Italy, it is a pre-owned piece with the character expected from vintage wear.
