GivenchyPearl Bracelet

Q: Are the pearls real on this Givenchy bracelet?
A: The piece features faux pearl embellishments, which is typical for Givenchy’s fashion jewellery. The pearls have a delicate coating, so please follow the care tips below to preserve their lustre.

Q: What wrist size will this fit?
A: It is a slip‑on bypass style that fits a 20 cm wrist or smaller. For best comfort, measure your wrist snugly at the point you plan to wear the bracelet; if you are close to 20 cm the fit will be neat, while smaller wrists will have a looser drape.

Q: Is the bracelet adjustable?
A: As a bypass cuff it allows for a very small one‑time adjustment to fine‑tune the opening, but repeated bending can stress the metal and plating. If you need more than a slight tweak, we recommend consulting a professional jeweller to avoid damage.

Q: How should I put on a cuff/bypass bracelet without warping it?
A: Slide the opening over the narrow side of your wrist just above the wrist bone, then rotate gently into place. Avoid squeezing the centre of the bracelet while it’s on your wrist, as this concentrates stress and can deform the piece.

Q: How do I care for the gold‑toned plating and faux pearls?
A: Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth after each wear. Keep away from moisture, perfumes, lotions and hairspray, and avoid abrasive cloths or chemicals. Do not use ultrasonic or steam cleaners. Store separately in a soft pouch to minimise friction and preserve the matte gold tone and pearl finish.

Q: Will the gold colour wear over time?
A: This is gold‑toned plated metal; normal friction from wear may soften high‑contact areas over years. You can prolong the finish by avoiding abrasion, removing the bracelet before washing hands or exercising, and storing it individually.

Q: I have sensitive skin—does this contain nickel?
A: Vintage fashion jewellery may contain base metals that can include nickel. We cannot guarantee this piece is nickel‑free. If you have a known nickel sensitivity, limit prolonged contact, consider a clear barrier on contact points, or consult your dermatologist for personalised guidance.

Q: How is the authenticity verified?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale is authenticated by our in‑house experts. We examine construction, materials and stamps. Many vintage Givenchy pieces carry signature hallmarks on oval plaques (some late‑1970s/early‑1980s items are even date‑stamped); our team reviews these markers where present and stands behind the authenticity of all items we sell.

Q: What is included and what does the condition mean?
A: Accessories: no accessories are included unless listed. Condition: Very Good, showing light traces of use only—minor surface wear visible on close inspection but nothing that affects overall appearance or wearability.
