HermèsBirkin 35 Clemece Ciel Bag

Q: What fits inside the Hermès Birkin 35?
A: With approximate measurements of 35 x 29 x 18 cm, the Birkin 35 is a roomy everyday size. It can typically hold a long wallet, phone, sunglasses case, cosmetics pouch, notebook, charger, water bottle and other daily essentials. Depending on the item dimensions, it may also fit small tablets or compact laptops, but we recommend checking the Measurements on this page for exact sizing.

Q: Is the Birkin 35 a good everyday bag?
A: Yes. The Birkin 35 is widely considered one of the more practical classic Birkin sizes because it offers generous capacity without being as large as a travel-focused 40. It works well for daily use if you prefer a spacious handbag and like carrying more than just the basics.

Q: Does Clemence leather hold its shape well?
A: Clemence leather is known for its soft, supple feel and relaxed structure. It is durable and hard-wearing, but it usually develops more slouch over time than more rigid Hermès leathers. That softer character is part of its appeal, especially on a Birkin 35.

Q: Is a Birkin 35 in Clemence heavy?
A: Compared with smaller Birkins or more rigid lightweight leathers, a Birkin 35 in Clemence can feel weightier, especially once filled. Many collectors still love it for everyday use because the size is practical and the leather is resilient, but it is best suited to someone comfortable with a more substantial handbag.

Q: Can this Birkin 35 be worn on the shoulder?
A: This style is primarily designed to be carried by hand or in the crook of the arm. The handle drop is approximately 12 cm, so some people may manage it on the shoulder depending on build and clothing, but it is generally not considered a dedicated shoulder bag.

Q: What does the Square M 2009 stamp mean?
A: The blind stamp Square M indicates this bag was produced in 2009. On Hermès bags, the letter-and-shape stamp helps identify the production year and is one of several details used when assessing a piece.

Q: What product information is included with this bag?
A: This bag includes a dustbag, clochette with keys, and padlock. Everything included with the item is listed in the product information on this page.

Q: What is the condition of this specific bag?
A: This bag is in good condition with light traces of use. The exterior shows scuffed corners, darkened handles, and small marks and scratches. The interior is also in good condition with light traces of use and a light vintage smell. The hardware remains shiny with light scratches.
