Q: What typically fits inside the Alma PM?
A: With its structured shape and approximate measurements of 31 × 24 × 17 cm, it comfortably holds a tablet up to around 11 inches, a long continental wallet, smartphone, sunglasses case, keys and a small cosmetics pouch. Due to the curved top, A4 documents and 13-inch laptops do not fit; a compact A5 notebook does.

Q: Does this vintage Alma PM come with a shoulder strap?
A: No. This 1997 Epi Alma PM is the classic handheld version with dual rolled top handles and no strap rings. It is designed to be carried by hand or in the crook of the arm. Some newer Alma PM editions in other materials may include a removable strap, but this piece does not.

Q: How durable is Epi leather and how should I care for it?
A: Epi is a deep‑dyed, textured calf leather valued for its structure and resistance to light scuffs and the occasional splash. Wipe gently with a soft, slightly damp cloth, avoid soaps/solvents and oils, keep away from prolonged sunlight and heat to preserve the colour, and store loosely stuffed in its dust bag in a cool, ventilated place.

Q: How secure is the bag in daily use?
A: The Alma features a wrap‑around double zip and can be secured with the padlock. This item includes the dust bag, padlock and keys as listed. A structured base with protective studs helps it stand upright and minimises wear.

Q: What does the date code MI0997 mean?
A: MI indicates manufacture in France. For codes used from the 1990s to 2006, the first and third digits show the month and the second and fourth the year. MI0997 decodes to September 1997, consistent with this item’s vintage status.

Q: Can the handles go over the shoulder?
A: The handle drop is about 9 cm, so it is not intended for shoulder carry. Using aftermarket straps on the handles is not recommended, as it can stress the stitching and may affect longevity or future repairs.

Q: Will a bag organiser fit, and is it advisable?
A: Yes, organisers sized specifically for the Alma PM fit well and help protect the Alcantara lining. Choose a lightweight insert and avoid overfilling, which can distort the shape and strain the zip.

Q: Is the interior lining prone to staining?
A: The soft Alcantara lining can show marks from pens, makeup or liquids. Keep pens and cosmetics in pouches, cap bottles tightly, and spot clean with a dry, lint‑free cloth only—avoid liquid cleaners.

Q: How should I store the padlock and keys to prevent scratches?
A: When not using the lock, keep the keys together and store the padlock in the dust bag or a small pouch so it doesn’t rub against the leather or hardware.
