A: CA indicates a Louis Vuitton workshop in Spain. For date codes used from 2007 to 2020, the first and third digits show the production week and the second and fourth show the year—so 1089 decodes to week 18 of 2009. Please note a date code alone does not authenticate a bag; it is one of many indicators used by experts.

Q: Is this the 2020 “new model” Odeon PM?
A: No. This is the earlier, vintage Odeon PM with natural vachetta trim, a single top zip and an open front pocket. In 2020 Louis Vuitton reintroduced the Odeon line with updated details such as a magnetic front pocket, reinforced leather corners and a luggage tag; dimensions and fittings differ from this vintage version.

Q: How should I care for the Monogram canvas and vachetta leather?
A: The coated Monogram canvas is durable and can be wiped with a soft, slightly damp cloth. The vachetta leather is untreated and develops a natural patina; avoid rain, oils and alcohol‑based products, which can cause watermarks or darkening.
