OmegaDe Ville Chronograph 42mm 2016 Watch

Q: What are the main details of this watch?
A: This is a pre-owned Omega De Ville Chronograph, reference 431.13.42.51.03.001, dating to 2016. It features a 42 mm stainless steel case, a blue dial with Roman numerals, two sub-dials, a date window, a leather strap with folding clasp and a transparent case back.

Q: Is this watch automatic or does it need manual winding?
A: It is powered by Omega’s self-winding calibre 9300. When fully wound, it offers around 60 hours of power reserve, while regular wear will normally keep it running.

Q: How does the chronograph display work?
A: The layout is designed to stay clean and readable. One sub-dial shows the running seconds, while the other combines the 60-minute and 12-hour chronograph counters, and the date is positioned at 6 o’clock.

Q: Is 42 mm a large size for this model?
A: It wears as a modern dress chronograph rather than a slim formal watch. With a 42 mm case and a substantial profile, it tends to suit buyers who like a refined watch with noticeable wrist presence.

Q: What size replacement strap would fit this watch?
A: Omega lists the lug width at 21 mm, so replacement straps should be chosen in that width. If you plan to change the strap, using a professional watchmaker is the safest option.

Q: Can I wear this watch in water?
A: The case is rated to 100 metres of water resistance, but this example is fitted with a leather strap. In everyday use, it is best to avoid swimming, showering and prolonged moisture exposure, as water can damage leather even if the watch case itself is water-resistant.

Q: Is this model still in production?
A: No. This reference is no longer available from Omega, so this piece is a discontinued pre-owned example from 2016.

Q: What condition is this particular watch in?
A: The product information describes it as being in very good overall condition with light traces of use. The hardware is shiny with light scratches, and both the external and internal condition are listed as very good.

Q: Does it come with box, papers or other extras?
A: Everything included is reflected in the product information. For this watch, the product information states no accessories.

Q: How should I care for the leather strap and movement?
A: Keep the leather strap away from water, perfumes, solvents and strong sunlight, and store the watch in a dry place when not in use. Periodic water-resistance checks and routine servicing will also help keep the watch performing as it should over time.
