Bottega VenetaCassette Belt Bag

Q: What makes the Bottega Veneta Cassette Belt Bag so recognisable?
A: The Cassette line is known for Bottega Veneta’s signature Intrecciato woven leather and its clean, structured silhouette. This version combines that iconic look with a compact belt-bag format, giving you a hands-free style that still feels refined and timeless.

Q: What typically fits inside this bag?
A: With approximate dimensions of 19 x 10 x 5 cm, this bag is best for small daily essentials. It will generally hold a phone, card holder, keys, and a lipstick or other slim small items. It is a compact style, so larger purses, bulky cases, or oversized sunglasses cases may take up most of the space.

Q: Will a phone fit inside?
A: Yes, most modern smartphones should fit inside this size comfortably, especially without a bulky case. As with any compact belt bag, interior space will feel more limited once you add a wallet, keys, or cosmetics.

Q: Can this bag be worn around the waist and across the body?
A: Yes. Cassette Belt Bags are designed for versatile wear and are often styled either around the waist or crossbody. This piece has an adjustable flat strap measuring approximately 125 cm, which gives flexibility depending on how you prefer to wear it and your desired fit.

Q: Is the strap adjustable?
A: Yes, this item features an adjustable flat waist strap. That makes it easier to style close to the body, whether you prefer a traditional belt-bag look or a more relaxed crossbody fit.

Q: How secure is the closure?
A: This bag has a magnetic flap closure, which is convenient for quick access while still keeping everyday essentials neatly enclosed. It is ideal for daily use, though as with most magnetic flap bags, it is best suited to essentials rather than overfilling.

Q: What condition is this vintage piece in?
A: This item is listed in very good condition. The exterior shows light traces of use with some minor marks, the interior also shows light traces of use, and the hardware remains shiny with light scratches. Reviewing the listing images alongside the condition notes is always the best way to understand the bag’s current vintage character.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: This bag comes with a dust bag and booklet, as listed in the product information for this specific piece.

Q: How should I care for the woven leather?
A: Intrecciato leather is beautiful but should be treated with care. Gently wipe it with a soft, dry cloth, avoid overexposure to rain, oils, perfume, make-up, heat, and direct sunlight, and store it in its dust bag when not in use. To help preserve the shape, avoid overstuffing and keep it away from rough surfaces that could mark the weave.

Q: How do you authenticate this bag?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale is reviewed by specialists and checked for details such as leather quality, weaving, construction, hardware, branding, and overall consistency with the model. We stand behind the authenticity of the pieces we sell, including this Bottega Veneta Cassette Belt Bag.
