Q: What fits inside this Chanel Classic Small Double Flap Bag?

Q: Can this bag be worn on the shoulder or crossbody?
A: This bag features a chain and suede shoulder strap with a listed strap measurement of 23/43 cm. It is primarily designed as a shoulder bag, and the longer drop may suit some wearers for a longer shoulder carry. Fit will vary depending on height and styling preference.

Q: What does “double flap” mean?
A: A double flap design includes the main outer flap plus an additional inner flap. This is one of the signature details collectors love about classic Chanel flap bags, as it adds structure, security, and the traditional layered interior feel associated with vintage Classic Flaps.

Q: What material is this bag made from?
A: This piece is crafted in green quilted suede with gold-tone hardware, a chain and suede shoulder strap, green leather lining, internal pockets, and a CC turn-lock closure. As suede is a delicate material, it benefits from gentle handling and careful storage.

Q: How should I care for a vintage Chanel suede bag?
A: Suede should be protected from rain, prolonged sunlight, humidity, perfume, oils, and rough surfaces. Avoid overfilling the bag so it keeps its shape. When not in use, store it upright and lightly filled in a breathable storage bag, away from heat and moisture. If it gets damp, pat it dry gently rather than rubbing it.

Q: What condition is this bag in?
A: The overall condition is rated Very Good. The exterior corners are slightly discoloured, the interior shows light traces of use, and the hardware remains shiny with light scratches. As this is a vintage item, gentle signs of wear are normal and part of its character.

Q: Does this bag come with authenticity details?
A: Yes. According to the product information, this item includes an authenticity card and serial number tag. The serial number is 1875826.

Q: What does the serial number suggest about the age of the bag?
A: Chanel serial numbers beginning with 1 are generally associated with production from around 1989 to 1991, which is consistent with this bag’s vintage character. As with all Chanel pieces, the serial number is one helpful dating detail alongside construction, materials, and finishing details.

Q: Where was this bag made?
A: The country of origin label states France.
