Dimensions & Specifications

Q: Is this a true waist belt or more of a regular trouser belt?
A: It is described as a waist belt, so it is intended to sit higher on the body than a standard trouser belt. For the best idea of fit, compare the measurements on this page with a belt you already wear at the waist.

Q: How wide is the belt?
A: The belt measures 2 cm in width, giving it a narrow and elegant profile. A slim width like this is ideal if you want definition at the waist without adding too much bulk.

Q: Will this belt fit me?
A: Fit depends on where you plan to wear it, such as at the natural waist, high waist or hips. The safest way to judge fit is to compare the measurements on this page with one of your own belts and with the area where you intend to wear it.

Please note that the majority of our items are vintage and therefore have tales to tell unless stated otherwise. Therefore, please look at pictures, descriptions and measurements provided as they give you the best idea of the story this item has to tell.

* Please note that when you buy a vintage product, the dimensions may vary slightly from a new one depending on previous care and storage.

Q: What are the key details of this Christian Dior CD Waist Belt?
A: This is a vintage Christian Dior waist belt in black gathered leather with gold-tone hardware and a CD logo buckle closure. Its slim silhouette gives it a polished, feminine look that works especially well with dresses, blazers and high-waisted separates.

Q: What condition is the belt in?
A: The overall condition is rated Very Good. The leather shows light traces of use, and the hardware is shiny with light scratches consistent with gentle wear and age.

Q: Does it come with a box, dust bag or authenticity card?
A: No. According to the product information, this item comes with no accessories.

Q: How should I care for vintage gathered leather and gold-tone hardware?
A: Wipe the leather gently with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth and avoid harsh cleaners, heavy conditioners and prolonged exposure to heat, rain or direct sunlight. Store it flat or loosely rolled in a breathable dust bag, and try to keep the buckle from rubbing against hard surfaces to minimise scratches.

Q: Does the absence of a serial number or original extras mean a vintage Dior belt is not authentic?
A: Not necessarily. Vintage Dior accessories can vary in how they are stamped and what originally accompanied them, so missing extras alone are not enough to judge authenticity. The most reliable assessment looks at the leather, construction, hardware, logo details and overall consistency of the piece.

Q: Can a vintage Dior belt be repaired or refreshed?
A: In many cases, yes. Light leather maintenance and minor cosmetic work may be possible through a trusted leather specialist, but any structural repair should be assessed professionally first, especially on vintage pieces where materials and construction can be more delicate.
