Q: Is the Palm Springs PM a good everyday backpack?

Q: What pockets and compartments does this bag have?
A: This backpack features one external zipped pocket for quick-access essentials and one internal slip pocket inside the main compartment. It closes with a two-way zip, which makes it easy to open from either side.

Q: What materials and finish does this bag have?
A: This piece is crafted in Monogram and Monogram Reverse coated canvas with black leather trim, a black textile lining, and gold-tone hardware. The combination gives it the recognisable Louis Vuitton look while remaining lightweight and practical for regular use.

Q: Can this bag fit a laptop or tablet?
A: It is not ideal for most laptops. A very small tablet or e-reader may fit depending on its dimensions and case, but this model is best suited to daily essentials rather than larger tech items.

Q: Are there any common wear points to check on a Palm Springs PM?
A: Buyers often pay close attention to the leather trim, glazing, corners, zip track, and the area around the openings on Palm Springs backpacks. On this specific item, the overall condition is Very Good, with signs of wear on the leather handle, light traces of use inside, and shiny hardware with very light scratches.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: No extra product information is included with this piece. If you would like to confirm anything shown in the images before purchase, we recommend reviewing all photos carefully.

Q: How should I care for coated canvas and leather trim?
A: Clean the canvas gently with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry it afterwards with a clean cloth. Avoid overfilling the bag, prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, and contact with rough surfaces or heavy moisture. When not in use, store it lightly stuffed to help maintain its shape.

Q: What does the date code FL4118 indicate?
A: FL4118 is consistent with a Louis Vuitton date code indicating production in France during the 41st week of 2018. Date codes are helpful for understanding production details, but they should always be considered alongside the bag’s materials, construction, and other authenticity markers.

Q: How do you authenticate this bag?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale is checked by experts using a detailed review of materials, stitching, hardware, stamps, and production details. We stand behind the authenticity of the items we sell and aim to provide clear product information for each piece.
