BvlgariSerpenti Key Ring Charm

Q: What is the Bvlgari Serpenti key ring charm made from?
A: It is a metal bag charm/key ring with a gold‑toned finish and an enamel Serpenti head, finished with a tassel and a lobster‑claw clasp. It is a fashion accessory rather than a solid‑gold fine jewellery piece.

Q: Can I attach it to most bags or use it for keys?
A: Yes. The lobster‑claw clasp fastens easily to most bag D‑rings and hardware, and it also works well as a decorative key holder. Always ensure the clasp is fully closed before use.

Q: Will the enamel chip or scratch? How should I care for it?
A: Enamel is a glass‑like coating fused to metal—durable for everyday handling but vulnerable to impacts and abrasives. Wipe gently with a soft, slightly damp cloth and mild soap, avoid harsh chemicals and ultrasonic cleaners, and dry thoroughly before storing.

Q: Does the gold‑toned metal tarnish?
A: Gold‑toned or plated metal can show wear or tarnish over time, especially with moisture, sweat, and cosmetics. Keep it dry, avoid prolonged water exposure, wipe after use, and store in a pouch away from other items. Use only a gentle polishing cloth on metal parts (not on the enamel).

Q: Is this part of Bvlgari’s Serpenti tradition?
A: Yes. Serpenti is one of Bvlgari’s most iconic motifs, introduced in the late 1940s and often interpreted with enamel detailing in both accessories and fine jewellery. It symbolises vitality and seduction and remains a brand signature.

Q: How big or heavy is it?
A: Please refer to the Measurements section on this page for exact dimensions. The tassel adds drop length when used as a bag charm; if you need precise measurements or photos against a bag, just ask our team.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: Everything included is listed under Accessories. For this listing, no extra accessories are included; the charm is sold as pictured.

Q: Is this a vintage piece and what is its condition?
A: Yes, this is a vintage Bvlgari accessory in Very Good condition with light signs of use. Please review the images for close‑ups of the enamel and hardware.

Q: Any tips for use on delicate leather bags?
A: Avoid knocking the enamel head against hard surfaces, keep it away from hand sanitisers, perfumes, and oils, and rotate its placement to minimise friction on delicate leathers. Store the charm separately when not in use to prevent micro‑scratches.
