CelineBoogie Bag

Q: What typically fits inside the Céline Boogie Bag?
A: With approximate measurements of 33 × 20 × 14 cm, it comfortably holds a long wallet, smartphone, keys, sunglasses, a small cosmetic pouch, and a compact umbrella or 500 ml bottle laid horizontally. A4 documents are usually too tall for the 20 cm height, and 13-inch laptops are generally not suitable; slim 10–11 inch tablets may fit horizontally depending on the case. Please compare with the measurements provided on this page.

Q: Can this style be worn on the shoulder?
A: The classic Boogie is designed as a handheld top-handle bag with an approximate handle drop of 10 cm, best carried in hand or in the crook of the arm. Some rarer Boogie variations feature longer straps, but this piece is the traditional handheld version.

Q: Is the Boogie a current or vintage style?
A: The Boogie launched in the early 2000s and is considered a discontinued, vintage style today. It appears on the pre-loved market in multiple leathers, colours and trims, including croc-embossed leather like this piece.

Q: How does this bag close and how secure is it?
A: This piece has an open top for easy access. For extra security, we recommend storing valuables in the interior zipped pocket and using a slim organiser pouch if desired.

Q: What pockets and compartments does this bag have?
A: It features two external side pockets for small items and a dark brown fabric-lined interior with a zipped pocket, keeping daily essentials neatly separated.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: Everything included is listed under the product information section and shown in the photos. For this piece, product information notes no additional items are included.

Q: Where was this piece made?
A: This bag is labelled Italy. Many Boogie bags from this era were produced in Italy by Céline’s leather goods ateliers.

Q: How can I authenticate a vintage Céline Boogie Bag?
A: Céline bags use internal date codes rather than unique serial numbers, and the format and placement can vary by model and year. Our team performs multi-point checks of materials, stitching, hardware, heat stamps and date codes; we stand behind the authenticity of every item we sell and can share further details on request.

Q: How should I care for the croc-embossed leather and hardware?
A: Wipe the leather gently with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry immediately; avoid harsh cleaners, prolonged sunlight and moisture. For the gold-tone hardware, use a dry microfibre cloth only. When storing, loosely stuff the bag to maintain its shape and keep it in a breathable dust bag away from heat sources.

Q: What is the condition of this specific piece?
A: Very good vintage condition overall. There is some scuffing on the leather; the handles show some wear and cracking; and the hardware remains shiny with light scratches. Please review all photos and the condition notes on this page for full details.
