CelineSmall Seau Sangle Bucket Bag

Q: What typically fits inside the Céline Small Seau Sangle Bucket Bag?
A: With its compact bucket silhouette, it comfortably holds a large smartphone (including most Pro/Max models), a compact wallet or cardholder, keys, lipstick, slim sunglasses in a soft case and a small cosmetics pouch. An A5 notebook usually fits vertically, and an iPad mini can fit without a bulky case; larger tablets (e.g., 11-inch) are generally too big. Capacity can vary slightly by edition—please refer to the Measurements on this page or ask us for a tailored fit check for this exact piece.

Q: Can I wear it crossbody? Is the strap adjustable?
A: This piece comes with a single detachable wool shoulder strap with a drop of approximately 36 cm, which is ideal for shoulder carry. It is not adjustable and will sit too high for most wearers to use crossbody. If you need a different carry length, we can advise on compatible alternative straps.

Q: How secure is the closure and what interior pockets does it have?
A: The Sangle Seau uses an internal hook closure—secure for everyday use but not as sealed as a zip-top. Inside, you’ll find dark green suede lining and one internal zipped pocket for valuables. Please review our listing photos for the exact layout of this piece.

Q: What materials and hardware does this model feature?
A: This bag is crafted in petrol green grained leather with dark green suede lining and gold-tone hardware. The textured calfskin offers good everyday durability, while the suede provides a luxurious feel. The listing specifies the exact materials and finishes for this piece.

Q: How should I care for the grained leather, suede lining and wool strap?
A: Keep the bag away from moisture, oils and prolonged sunlight, and be mindful of colour transfer from dark denim onto lighter clothing/leathers. Wipe grained leather with a soft, dry cloth; condition smooth leather sparingly with a neutral product after testing on a discreet area. For suede, avoid liquids; gently brush with a clean suede brush to lift light marks. The wool strap can pill with friction—use a fabric shaver lightly if needed. Store the bag lightly stuffed, upright, in a breathable dust bag, and avoid overfilling to preserve its shape.

Q: Does the Sangle Seau have base feet? Will it stand on its own?
A: Sangle Seau buckets typically have a clean base without protective feet. The structured grained leather helps the bag stand when lightly filled, though some natural softening/slouch can develop over time. Place it on clean, dry surfaces and consider a bag base insert if you prefer extra structure.

Q: Can I swap the strap for another?
A: Yes—many owners alternate with other Céline-compatible straps. Use lightweight, quality hardware to avoid scratching the D-rings, and avoid aftermarket modifications that require adhesives or drilling. If you’d like guidance on compatible options for this exact piece, just let us know.

Q: Where are the brand markings and codes located, and where is this piece made?
A: Authentic Céline bags feature an interior heat-stamp (e.g., “CELINE Paris” or “Céline”) and a country of origin stamp; our listing states this piece is made in Italy, which will be reflected inside. Many Céline bags also have an internal serial/production code, often on a small leather tab or along an interior seam. Placement and format vary by era—contact us for close-up photos of this item.

Q: Is the Sangle Seau still produced?
A: Availability has varied by season and creative direction; some sizes/editions are no longer offered in boutiques. The pre-loved market is the best way to find specific colours and configurations like this Small Seau in petrol green.

Q: What accessories are included and how do you authenticate?
A: Everything included with this bag is listed under “Accessories”; this item is offered without accessories. Every piece at A Retro Tale undergoes rigorous, multi-point authentication by our in-house experts, assessing materials, stitching, hardware, stamps, codes and overall construction. We stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell.
