GucciSoho Disco Camera Bag

Q: What are the size and strap details of the Gucci Soho Disco Camera Bag?
A: The Soho Disco is a compact crossbody measuring approximately 21 × 15 × 7 cm. The leather strap is adjustable with an approximate 55 cm drop, suitable for wearing crossbody or on the shoulder. The bag weighs around 0.38 kg. Our listing’s strap measurement is 55 cm.

Q: What typically fits inside, and will an iPad mini fit?
A: It comfortably holds a large smartphone (including many Pro/Max models), a small wallet or cardholder, keys, lipstick, AirPods, and slim sunglasses. Due to the bag’s 15 cm height, an iPad mini generally does not fit inside.

Q: Is the Gucci Soho Disco still produced by Gucci?
A: Gucci has phased out the Soho Disco, but it remains widely available on the resale market and continues to be a popular, timeless style.

Q: Is the strap detachable or replaceable?
A: The strap is adjustable but not designed to be detachable. The bag does not have hardware to swap in alternative straps.

Q: What materials are used, and is colour transfer a concern?
A: The exterior is pebbled (natural grain) leather with light gold‑tone hardware; the interior is a cotton‑linen fabric with two slip pockets. As with most light‑coloured leathers, colour transfer from dark denim or saturated fabrics can occur, so take care when styling, especially with beige or rose‑beige tones.

Q: How should I care for and store this bag to minimise sagging and corner wear?
A: Avoid overloading; zip the bag when not in use to help it keep shape. Store it stuffed with soft tissue in a breathable dust bag, away from heat and humidity. Wipe the leather gently with a soft, slightly damp cloth and condition sparingly when needed. These habits help reduce mid‑panel slouching and corner wear over time.

Q: Does the leather tassel need special care, and can it fray?
A: The tassel is a functional zip pull. Keep it away from sharp edges and snagging to prevent loose strands. If fraying occurs, a professional leather specialist can tidy or replace the tassel hardware.

Q: Where is the serial/style code located on this model?
A: Inside the bag on a leather tag. Gucci codes typically appear in two rows of numbers: the top line is the model/style (often associated with the Soho family), and the lower line is a supplier/batch code. Codes are heat‑stamped into the leather and are not unique identifiers on their own.

Q: How can I safely reduce a slight vintage smell noted in the product description?
A: Air the bag in a well‑ventilated space and place an odour‑absorbing sachet (baking soda or charcoal) nearby for 24–48 hours. Avoid spraying perfume inside. For persistent odours, consult a professional bag spa or Gucci client services for care advice.

Q: What is included with this item, and how is it authenticated?
A: Everything included is listed under the product information. For this listing, no additional items are included unless stated there. Every item at A Retro Tale is rigorously authenticated by our in‑house experts using multi‑point checks of materials, stitching, hardware, stamps, and codes; additional details are available on request.
