HermèsEpsom Kelly To Go Wallet

Q: What is the Hermès Kelly To Go Wallet?
A: It’s a wallet-on-strap inspired by the iconic Kelly, crafted here in brown Epsom leather with palladium-plated hardware. This model features a detachable shoulder strap for hands-free wear and can also be carried as a sleek clutch or used as a wallet inside a larger bag.

Q: What are the dimensions and strap drop of this piece?
A: The approximate measurements are Height 11 cm, Width 20 cm, Depth 4 cm. The shoulder strap drop is about 52 cm. Please review our photos and Measurements section for this specific item.

Q: How much can it hold and will it fit my phone?
A: It’s designed for daily essentials such as cards, folded notes, coins, keys and a slim phone. As a guide, many phones up to around 16–16.5 cm in length fit comfortably; larger “Plus/Max” models may fit depending on case thickness. Compare your phone to the interior length (just under the 20 cm exterior width) and the 11 cm height, and avoid overfilling to preserve the shape and closure alignment.

Q: Is the shoulder strap removable or adjustable?
A: The strap is detachable for versatile styling. On most Kelly To Go wallets the strap is not adjustable; please refer to the listed strap drop to gauge crossbody fit for your height and preferred carry.

Q: What is Epsom leather and how should I care for it?
A: Epsom is an embossed calfskin known for its light weight, defined grain and excellent shape retention. Care by wiping with a soft, dry cloth; keep away from water, oils, make-up and prolonged sunlight. Do not use soaps or solvents. Store stuffed lightly, in a breathable dust bag, and avoid pressure or overloading that could imprint the leather.

Q: How does the closure and hardware work, and any care tips?
A: The Kelly To Go typically features a Kelly-style flap with a turn-lock closure. Hardware is palladium-plated metal. To minimise scratches, avoid contact with hard surfaces, open/close gently without forcing the turn-lock, and store so the hardware doesn’t rub against other metals. Hairline marks from normal use are expected on pre-owned pieces.

Q: What is the interior layout of this wallet?
A: Layouts can vary slightly by production year. This piece features a tonal lining with five pockets, providing organised space for daily essentials. Many Kelly To Go wallets include a zipped compartment and multiple card slots—please review our photos for the exact configuration of this item.

Q: How is authenticity verified and where is the stamp/code?
A: Hermès small leather goods often have a blind stamp indicating year and workshop; some newer items may incorporate microchips. Stamp placement and format can vary. A Retro Tale authenticates every item via rigorous multi‑point checks beyond stamps alone. Please see our description/photos for any stamp details for this specific wallet.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: Inclusions vary for vintage/pre-owned pieces. Please refer to the Accessories section and listing photos for exactly what is included with this wallet.

Q: Where is it made and is it considered vintage?
A: Hermès leather goods are typically made in France, as indicated by the interior stamping. This is a pre-owned/vintage item as offered by A Retro Tale—please review the Condition notes and photos to understand signs of previous use and the overall state of the piece.
