JILSANDERSmall Cannolo Shoulder Bag

Q: What typically fits inside the Jil Sander Small Cannolo?
A: With an approximate interior based on 28 × 10 × 10 cm, it comfortably carries daily essentials such as a smartphone, small or continental wallet, keys, slim sunglasses, and a few cosmetics. It is not designed for tablets or bulky items; packing flatter pieces helps the cylindrical shape keep a clean line.

Q: Can it be worn cross-body as well as on the shoulder?
A: This piece is primarily a shoulder bag with an adjustable strap of about 44 cm drop. Some may wear it high and close to the body cross‑style at the longest setting, but it is designed to sit neatly under the arm as a shoulder bag.

Q: How does the bag close and what organisation does it have inside?
A: It features a magnetic flap closure for quick, secure access. The interior is lined in tonal leather with one slip pocket to hold cards or small items.

Q: Is the strap removable on this specific bag?
A: The strap on this item is adjustable but not designed to be detached. If you prefer a clutch look, you can tuck the strap inside temporarily, but we recommend avoiding long‑term storage with pressure on the leather strap to prevent creasing.

Q: What material is it made from and where was it crafted?
A: It is crafted in Italy from smooth calf leather with gold‑tone hardware, reflecting Jil Sander’s minimalist, luxurious finish.

Q: Is the light ecru colour prone to colour transfer?
A: Light leathers can pick up dye from darker fabrics like raw denim. To minimise transfer, avoid prolonged friction with dark clothing, especially when new, and wipe the surface gently after wear if needed.

Q: How should I care for the leather to keep it looking its best?
A: Wipe with a soft, dry cloth after use, keep away from oils, perfumes and rain, and allow to air‑dry naturally if it gets damp. Condition sparingly with a high‑quality neutral leather conditioner a few times a year. Store stuffed to support the shape, in a breathable dust bag, out of direct sunlight.

Q: What can I expect from the condition of this pre‑loved piece?
A: Overall in Very Good condition with light traces of use inside and out; hardware is shiny with light scratches. Please refer to the photos for close‑ups of any minor wear.

Q: Are any accessories included with this item?
A: No accessories are included with this bag. Everything provided is listed on this page—if an item such as a dust bag is not shown or mentioned, it is not included.

Q: How do you authenticate this bag?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale undergoes a multi‑point authentication by our in‑house experts, examining materials, construction, stamps and hardware. We stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell and are happy to provide further details on request.
