Q: What are the dimensions of this Louis Vuitton Newport tote?
A: This bag measures approximately 40 cm wide, 35 cm high and 6 cm deep.

Q: Can this tote be carried on the shoulder?
A: Yes. The included shoulder strap offers an alternative to carrying the bag by its top handles. Crossbody suitability will depend on the strap length and your preferred fit.

Q: Will this bag fit a laptop?
A: Laptop fit has not been confirmed for this specific item. Compare your laptop and its sleeve with the bag’s external measurements of 40 × 35 × 6 cm, allowing for a smaller usable interior and the zip opening. The slim depth also limits how much you can carry alongside a device.

Please note that the majority of our items are vintage and therefore have tales to tell unless stated otherwise. Therefore, please look at pictures, descriptions and measurements provided as they give you the best idea of the story this item has to tell.

* Please note that when you buy a vintage product, the dimensions may vary slightly from a new one depending on previous care and storage.

SHIPPING

All orders are insured and trackable. Once your shipment has been issued, a link to our Track & Trace service will be provided where you can track your shipment and check delivery status online.

We ship all orders from Sweden, and when importing to Canada your order may be subject to import duties and sales tax, which will be charged to you upon delivery by the shipping carrier.

These charges are typically collected by the shipping carrier at the time of delivery and are not included in the product price.

RETURNS

A Retro Tale offers 14 days return policy upon receipt of your order.

In order to request a return, please email [email protected] with your order number and state ”return request” in your email. From there, our Customer Support will confirm that your return request has been approved and further instructions will be provided by email.

Please note that all return shipments to A Retro Tale must be traceable. Retain your shipping receipt and tracking number until the return is completed and your refund is processed. Return shipping costs will be covered by A Retro Tale, and we will provide you with a prepaid return label.

Please allow up to 10 business days for your return to be completed from the return shipping date as shipping time might vary depending on shipping country and shipping provider.

A: This bag measures approximately 40 cm wide, 35 cm high and 6 cm deep.

Q: What is Damier Cobalt, and is this bag made entirely from leather?
A: Damier Cobalt is Louis Vuitton’s blue-and-black chequered coated canvas. The Newport combines this canvas with leather handles and trim, rather than being an all-leather bag. This item is listed as navy.

Q: What condition is this pre-owned bag in?
A: The overall condition is rated Good. The exterior is rated Very Good, with traces of use and rubbing on the corners. The interior is rated Good, with light traces of use. The hardware remains shiny, with light scratches.

Q: Can this tote be carried on the shoulder?
A: Yes. The included shoulder strap offers an alternative to carrying the bag by its top handles. Crossbody suitability will depend on the strap length and your preferred fit.

Q: What is included with this bag?
A: The product information lists a dust bag and a shoulder strap as included. No other accompanying items are listed.

Q: Does the Newport tote have a zip closure and internal pockets?
A: The Newport tote design features a top zip closure, together with internal zipped and slip pockets for organising smaller essentials.

Q: Where was this bag made?
A: The supplied country-of-origin information states that this bag was made in France.

Q: How should I clean and store this bag?
A: Gently wipe the coated canvas with a soft, damp cloth and slightly soapy water. Avoid alcohol-based products, oils, leather lotions and harsh cleaners on the canvas. Store the bag in its dust bag in a ventilated place away from heat, and avoid overfilling it to help preserve its shape.
