Louis VuittonEpi Soufflot Bag

Q: What size is this Louis Vuitton Epi Soufflot Bag?
A: This bag measures approximately 30 cm wide, 15 cm high, and 15 cm deep. It has a strap drop of approximately 16 cm, giving it a compact yet practical shoulder-bag silhouette.

Q: What typically fits inside the Soufflot?
A: With its structured barrel shape, it is well suited to everyday essentials such as a phone, small wallet, keys, sunglasses, cosmetics, and other compact items. It is best for daily essentials rather than larger items like a laptop or A4 documents. Please refer to the Measurements in the product information for exact dimensions.

Q: Can this bag be worn on the shoulder or crossbody?
A: This vintage Soufflot style is primarily designed as a short shoulder bag. With an approximate 16 cm drop, it generally sits comfortably on the shoulder or in the crook of the arm, but it is not intended to be worn crossbody.

Q: Does this bag come with a pouch or any other extras?
A: No. This specific item comes with no accessories. Some vintage Soufflot bags were originally sold with a matching pouch, but if an accessory is not listed in the product information, it is not included with this piece.

Q: What is Epi leather, and is it durable?
A: Epi leather is Louis Vuitton’s signature textured leather, known for its structured feel and good resistance to everyday wear. It is generally considered more scratch-resistant and lower-maintenance than many smooth leathers, which is one reason vintage Epi bags remain popular.

Q: How should I care for vintage Epi leather?
A: Gently wipe the exterior with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth, and avoid harsh cleaners, oils, perfumes, and alcohol-based products. Store the bag in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and humidity, and lightly stuff it to help maintain its shape.

Q: What does the date code AR0997 mean?
A: The date code AR0997 indicates production in France in September 1997. As with all Louis Vuitton date codes, it helps indicate when and where the bag was made, but it should be considered alongside the overall construction, materials, and details when assessing authenticity.

Q: What condition is this bag in?
A: This item is listed in very good condition. The exterior shows discolouration on the side and wear on the handle. The interior has light traces of use, and the hardware remains shiny with light scratches and some tarnishing. These details are already reflected in the product information.

Q: Is the Soufflot a good everyday vintage bag?
A: Yes, if you like a compact, structured shoulder bag with a classic 1990s look. The Soufflot is especially appreciated for its clean shape, durable Epi leather, and practical size for essentials, making it a strong choice for day-to-evening use.
