Louis VuittonKeep It Twice Bracelet

Q: What is the Louis Vuitton Keep It Twice bracelet made of?
A: It is crafted from Louis Vuitton’s Monogram coated canvas with gold‑tone metal hardware and a decorative LV padlock charm. Many examples also have leather detailing on the inside. The band wraps twice around the wrist for a layered look.

Q: How does it fasten, and is the padlock functional?
A: The bracelet uses a secure push/press‑lock clasp that is easy to open and close. The padlock is a charm for decoration and is not the fastening mechanism.

Q: What wrist size will this specific piece fit?
A: According to the product information on this page, this bracelet fits wrists up to approximately 14.5 cm in circumference (or smaller). The band width is about 1.1 cm. If you are unsure, measure your wrist snugly and add around 0.5–1 cm for comfortable wear.

Q: Is the size adjustable?
A: There is no significant adjustability beyond the clasp setting. Louis Vuitton has produced the Keep It Twice in fixed sizes (commonly 17 or 19), so we recommend checking your wrist measurement against the fit noted in the product information.

Q: Can I get it wet or wear it in the shower?
A: It is best to avoid water, perfume, lotions and hand sanitiser on the canvas and metal. Wipe the canvas gently with a soft, slightly damp cloth if needed, then dry carefully. Prolonged exposure to moisture or chemicals may dull the finish of the metal parts over time.

Q: How should I care for the materials?
A: For canvas: wipe with a soft damp cloth and mild soapy water if necessary, then dry; store in a cool, ventilated place away from heat and sunlight. For fashion jewellery hardware: avoid knocks, fragrances and cosmetics; store separately to prevent abrasion and wipe with a soft cloth after wear.

Q: Will the gold‑tone finish tarnish or scratch?
A: Like most plated fashion jewellery, micro‑scratches and dulling can occur with regular wear. Avoid contact with hard surfaces and store it individually. The condition notes for this piece mention shiny hardware with scratches and minor marks, which is consistent with gentle pre‑owned use.

Q: Does it have a date code or microchip, and where would it be?
A: Many Keep It/Keep It Twice bracelets from recent years are stamped Made in Spain or similar and include a small date code on the inside leather. Date codes indicate production period and location but do not, by themselves, prove authenticity. Louis Vuitton has also been transitioning some items to embedded microchips from 2021 onward. Every item at A Retro Tale is carefully authenticated by our specialists before listing.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: Please refer to the product information section on this page. For this bracelet, the inclusions are listed as box, paper bag and receipt.

Q: Can Louis Vuitton repair or service the bracelet clasp or hardware?
A: Louis Vuitton boutiques can assess and advise on repairs, and they also offer an online repair request service in select regions. If you ever need help, your local LV store or Client Services can guide you on available options.
