Louis VuittonMonogram Reverse Bento Box BB Bag

Q: What are the key features of the Louis Vuitton Monogram Reverse Bento Box BB?
A: A compact, structured top‑handle bag crafted in Monogram and Monogram Reverse coated canvas with black leather trim, gold‑tone hardware, a secure S‑lock push‑lock closure, black microfibre lining and a detachable shoulder strap. The design takes inspiration from Japanese bento boxes for a distinctive trunk‑inspired silhouette.

Q: What typically fits inside?
A: Daily small essentials such as a standard smartphone, compact cardholder or small wallet, keys, lipstick/compact and wireless earbuds. Due to the structured shape (approx. 16 × 15 × 7 cm), bulky items and large sunglass cases may be too tight—slim cases or glasses without a case are usually a better fit.

Q: Can I wear it crossbody and is the strap adjustable?
A: Yes, it can be worn on the shoulder or crossbody with the detachable strap. The strap drop is approximately 55 cm on this piece. On most Bento Box versions the strap is not adjustable; if you prefer a different drop, you can swap to another compatible strap.

Q: How does the S‑lock work?
A: It is a press‑lock: gently pinch the two side buttons to release the clasp; to close, align the lock and press until it clicks. Avoid forcing the mechanism and keep fingers clear of the moving parts.

Q: Does the bag stand up on its own?
A: Yes. The structured base with protective feet helps the bag stand upright and reduces wear on the bottom panel.

Q: When was this model released and is it still produced?
A: The Bento Box debuted around the Cruise 2018 collection in Monogram/Monogram Reverse. It appears periodically on the resale market rather than being a current core store style, so availability is limited and varies over time.

Q: How should I care for the coated canvas and leather trim?
A: Wipe canvas with a soft, slightly damp cloth and a little mild soapy water if needed; avoid solvents, alcohol‑based products and leather conditioners on the canvas. Keep away from rough surfaces and prolonged sunlight/heat. Store loosely stuffed in its dust bag to maintain shape and avoid overfilling to prevent stress on the lock and seams.

Q: Does this bag have a date code or a microchip?
A: Louis Vuitton gradually replaced stamped date codes with embedded NFC microchips from March 2021. Earlier pieces (including many from 2017–2018) typically have a heat‑stamped date code; newer ones may have no visible code. Regardless of format, the item is authenticated by our experts using multi‑point checks.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: All inclusions are listed under the product information on this page. For this listing, they comprise box, dust bag, brand booklet, detachable shoulder strap and padlock.
