Louis VuittonNew Wave Chain PM Bag

Q: What are the dimensions and how can it be carried?
A: Approximately 23 × 14 × 5 cm with a sliding chain strap (about 56 cm drop at full length) and a detachable top handle with the multicolour “Vuitton” signature. The chain can be worn long on the shoulder or cross-body, or doubled for a shorter shoulder carry.

Q: What typically fits inside the New Wave Chain PM?
A: Daily essentials such as a large smartphone, compact wallet or cardholder, keys, lipstick and slim sunglasses. Capacity is compact; a long continental wallet may be tight depending on the model. Please refer to the Measurements on this page for exact sizing.

Q: Is the chain strap comfortable for extended wear?
A: Yes. The chain features a leather shoulder pad and the sliding mechanism lets you adjust the drop. Do note that the substantial chain and hardware give the bag a bit of weight compared with canvas styles—most find the PM comfortable, especially cross-body.

Q: Is the colourful top handle removable?
A: Yes, the rainbow “Vuitton” top handle is detachable, so you can switch between a playful or classic look. The sliding chain remains for shoulder or cross-body wear.

Q: What materials is this model made from?
A: Quilted calf leather exterior with a soft microfiber lining and gold-tone hardware. It has a flap closure with LV Initials clasp and one internal slip pocket.

Q: Can it be worn cross-body?
A: Yes. The sliding chain extends for cross-body wear; at approximately 56 cm drop, it typically sits around hip level on most figures. You can also double the chain for a shorter shoulder carry.

Q: How should I care for the leather and hardware?
A: Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth after use. Keep away from oils, make-up and moisture, and avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight or heat. Store lightly stuffed in a breathable dust bag to maintain its shape, and take care not to overfill. Minor hairline scratches on hardware are normal with use.

Q: What does the date code NZ2109 mean?
A: The letters indicate the manufacturing country; NZ corresponds to Italy. Under the 2007–2021 format, the numbers decode to week 20 of 2019.

Q: What is included with this piece?
A: Everything included is listed in the product information on this page. If an item such as a dust bag or box is not listed there, it is not included. Contact us if you would like us to confirm the contents.
