RolexOyster Perpetual 26mm 2001 Full Set Watch

Q: Is 26 mm a small watch, and who does it suit best?
A: Yes, 26 mm is considered a classic smaller Rolex size and is especially popular for buyers who prefer an elegant, refined look on the wrist. It works particularly well if you like traditional proportions rather than an oversized watch presence.

Q: Will this watch fit my wrist?
A: According to the product information, the bracelet fits a wrist up to 17 cm and includes 1 extra link. If your wrist is close to that size, the extra link may help fine-tune the fit. For the best result, compare your wrist measurement with the product information before purchasing.

Q: Is this Rolex automatic or battery-powered?
A: This watch is automatic, meaning it is powered by wrist movement rather than a battery. If it has not been worn for a while and stops, it can be wound manually before use.

Q: How do I start the watch if it has stopped?
A: Unscrew the crown and wind it clockwise several turns to get the movement going, then set the time and screw the crown back down securely. As with most Rolex automatic watches, regular wear helps keep it running once it is wound.

Q: Is this watch waterproof?
A: Rolex Oyster models are designed with strong water resistance when the crown is fully screwed down. However, with any pre-owned watch, especially an older piece from 2001, it is wise to treat water exposure with care unless the watch has been pressure-tested recently. Many buyers choose to avoid swimming or showering with vintage and second-hand watches as a precaution.

Q: What condition is this watch in?
A: The product information states that the watch is in very good condition overall, with light traces of use. The hardware is described as shiny with light scratches, while both the external and internal condition are listed as very good.

Q: What is included with this watch?
A: According to the product information, this watch comes as a full set and includes the box, outer box and a spare link. For this item, always rely on the product information for the exact included accessories.

Q: Does a full set matter when buying a pre-owned Rolex?
A: Yes, many buyers prefer a full set because it can make a watch more attractive from both a collecting and resale perspective. It also gives added confidence around the watch’s history and completeness, especially for well-known references such as Rolex 26 mm models.

Q: How often should a Rolex like this be serviced?
A: Service timing depends on how the watch is performing, how often it is worn and its overall condition. In general, a Rolex should be checked whenever you notice issues such as poor timekeeping, reduced power reserve or moisture concerns, and routine professional servicing helps preserve long-term reliability.

Q: Is a 2001 Rolex a good everyday watch?
A: Yes, many buyers choose this type of Rolex as an everyday luxury watch because it combines a versatile steel design, automatic movement and timeless styling. That said, as a pre-owned piece, it is best treated with sensible care to help preserve both condition and longevity.
