Q: What are the dimensions of this Chanel CC Chain Tote Bag?
A: This bag measures 33 cm wide, 22 cm high and 8 cm deep. The listed strap measurement is 45 cm.

Q: Can I wear this bag on the shoulder or crossbody?
A: The bag has chain straps with a listed measurement of 45 cm. This is not identified as a strap drop, so shoulder clearance cannot be confirmed from the measurement alone. Crossbody suitability is also not confirmed; please contact us if you need more detailed carrying measurements.

Q: What can I fit inside, and will it hold a laptop?
A: The dimensions suggest room for everyday essentials such as a phone, purse, keys and a small cosmetics pouch, depending on their sizes. Laptop fit is not confirmed. Compare your device and its sleeve with the bag’s measurements, allowing for a smaller usable interior and opening, and avoid overloading the bag.

Please note that the majority of our items are vintage and therefore have tales to tell unless stated otherwise. Therefore, please look at pictures, descriptions and measurements provided as they give you the best idea of the story this item has to tell.

* Please note that when you buy a vintage product, the dimensions may vary slightly from a new one depending on previous care and storage.

Q: What are the dimensions of this Chanel CC Chain Tote Bag?
A: This bag measures 33 cm wide, 22 cm high and 8 cm deep. The listed strap measurement is 45 cm.

Q: What condition is this bag in?
A: This pre-owned vintage bag is in Good Condition. The exterior has minor signs of wear on the corners and leather, the interior shows light traces of use, and the hardware remains shiny with light scratches.

Q: What colour is this bag, and what type of leather is it made from?
A: This bag is black. The condition description refers to leather, but the specific leather type is not stated in the product information, so it should not be assumed to be lambskin or caviar leather.

Q: Does this bag come with a box, dust bag or authenticity card?
A: No accompanying accessories are specified in the product information. Please contact us to confirm what is included before purchasing; a box, dust bag or original Chanel authenticity card should not be assumed to accompany this bag.

Q: How does A Retro Tale authenticate its bags?
A: A Retro Tale’s authentication process uses trained experts with specialist brand knowledge to examine each item’s construction and details. This includes a meticulous review of stitching, handles and other features. Please contact us if you would like further information about this bag’s authentication.

Q: How should I care for this vintage Chanel tote?
A: Handle it gently, avoid overloading it and keep it away from prolonged sunlight, heat and moisture. Use a soft cloth for gentle cleaning, and avoid products that could alter the finish. If the bag gets wet, carefully blot it with an absorbent, lint-free cloth. Seek specialist advice for stains or treatments, as the leather type is not specified.

Q: How should I store the bag to protect its shape and chain straps?
A: Store it upright in a suitable protective pouch and support its shape with tissue paper. Wrap the chains in tissue paper to prevent them from marking the leather, and avoid compressing the bag during storage.
