Q: What size is this belt, and how should I judge the fit?
A: This belt is listed as Size 75. As a guide, that usually corresponds to around 75 cm or 29.5 inches at the fastening point. Because chain belts can sit at the waist or slightly lower depending on styling, the best way to judge fit is to compare that measurement with where you plan to wear it.

Q: Is this style meant to be worn at the waist or on the hips?
A: Chanel chain belts in this style are most often worn at the waist, but the exact fit depends on your own measurements and how you want to style it. With a vintage belt, checking your intended wearing point before purchase is always the safest approach.

Q: How does this belt fasten?
A: The product information lists a hook fastening. It is designed with a gold-tone metal chain and interlocking CC logo charms rather than a traditional leather strap and buckle.

Q: What is this belt made from?
A: The product information describes it as a gold-tone metal chain belt with interlocking CC logo charms. It should be considered a vintage fashion accessory with metal hardware, not solid-gold jewellery.

Q: What condition is it in?
A: It is listed in Very Good Condition. The product information also notes scratches and discolouration to the hardware, which is typical of gentle wear on a vintage gold-tone piece.

Q: Does it come with a box, dust bag, or authenticity card?
A: No extras are listed in the product information. If something is not mentioned there, it should not be expected to be included with the item.

Q: Is the serial number readable?
A: The serial number is listed as illegible in the product information. This can happen on vintage Chanel pieces where age or wear has affected the marking.

Q: How should I care for a vintage Chanel chain belt?
A: Treat it with the same care as vintage costume jewellery. Keep it away from water, perfume, lotions, and heat, put it on after applying fragrance or makeup, wipe it gently with a soft cloth, and store it separately to help prevent scratching and further discolouration.

Q: Will the gold-tone finish show age over time?
A: Yes. On vintage Chanel metal pieces, light patina, surface wear, and some change in finish can develop over time. This example already has scratches and discolouration noted in the product information, which forms part of its vintage character.
