ChanelMedium Double Flap Bag

Q: What are the measurements of this Chanel Medium Double Flap Bag?
A: This bag measures approximately 25.5 cm wide, 16 cm high and 7 cm deep. These are the measurements of this particular pre-owned piece.

Q: What can fit inside the Medium Double Flap?
A: The medium size is suitable for a compact selection of essentials, such as a mobile phone, small wallet or cardholder, keys and lipstick. The inner flap reduces the usable space, so the fit will depend on the size of your belongings. Avoid overfilling the bag or forcing the flap closed.

Q: Can this bag be worn crossbody?
A: It is best suited to shoulder wear, with the chain doubled for a shorter drop or extended for a longer drop. The listed strap measurements are approximately 18/36 cm. Crossbody wear may be possible on a smaller frame, but it will sit relatively high and depends on your height, build and clothing.

Q: What does double flap mean?
A: Double flap refers to the outer flap and a second flap inside that covers the main compartment. The inner flap helps support the bag’s structure and conceals the contents when the outer flap is open.

Q: What condition is this particular bag in?
A: This bag is in Very Good Condition. The exterior has light marks and scratches throughout the material, together with signs of wear. The interior shows light traces of use, and the hardware remains shiny with light scratches. It is a pre-owned piece rather than a like-new item.

Q: What colour is this bag, and where was it made?
A: This particular Chanel Medium Double Flap Bag is black. Its country-of-origin label indicates that it was made in France.

Q: Does this bag include a box, dust bag or authenticity card?
A: No accessories are included, according to the product information. This means a box, dust bag and authenticity card are not supplied with this piece.

Q: Can the serial number identify the bag’s production year?
A: The serial number on this piece is listed as illegible, so it cannot be used to establish a reliable production year. A specific year is not provided in the product information.

Q: How does A Retro Tale authenticate its bags?
A: A Retro Tale states that its items are reviewed by experts with specialist brand knowledge and are sold with an authenticity guarantee. Authentication involves examining the bag’s details rather than relying solely on a serial number or authenticity card. Contact A Retro Tale if you would like further information about the checks carried out on this piece.

Q: How should I care for and store this bag?
A: Avoid overfilling it and keep it away from prolonged sunlight, moisture, perfume and harsh cleaning products. Use a soft cloth for gentle surface care; if it gets wet, carefully blot it with an absorbent, non-pilling cloth. Store it upright in a suitable protective pouch, with the chain positioned so it does not press into the surface. As the material type is not specified, seek specialist advice before applying any conditioner or treatment.
