FendiBaguette Earrings

Q: What are the dimensions of these earrings?
A: Approximately 1 cm high × 1.7 cm wide × 0.2 cm deep, making them a petite, everyday-friendly stud size. Please refer to the Measurements section on this page for exact figures.

Q: Are they for pierced ears or clip-on?
A: They are for pierced ears and feature a secure push-back (butterfly) closure.

Q: What does “Baguette” refer to in this design?
A: It references Fendi’s iconic FF Baguette motif—rendered here as a small, structured logo design—creating a timeless, logo-forward stud earring.

Q: Are these solid gold or gold-plated?
A: This vintage pair is described as having gold-tone hardware. Many contemporary Fendi fashion earrings are crafted from brass with a gold-tone finish rather than solid precious metal. If you require confirmation of base metal for sensitive ears, please contact us and we’ll be happy to advise.

Q: Are they hypoallergenic/nickel-free?
A: We cannot guarantee they are nickel-free. Fashion earrings made in brass may contain trace nickel in the alloy or plating layers, which can trigger reactions in sensitive wearers. If you have known nickel sensitivity, consider limiting wear time and opting for solid gold, platinum, titanium or surgical stainless steel for daily wear.

Q: Will the gold-tone finish fade with wear?
A: All plated finishes can soften over time, especially with contact from perfumes, lotions, sweat, sea water, chlorinated pools, and friction. With mindful care—removing before bathing, exercising or swimming and storing separately—the finish will retain its shine longer.

Q: How should I clean and care for them?
A: Wipe after each wear with a soft, dry, lint‑free cloth. Avoid jewellery dips, ultrasonic cleaners, and abrasive polishing. Put earrings on last (after fragrance and cosmetics) and store individually in their box or a soft pouch to minimise scratches and premature wear.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: This pair comes with a box, as listed under Accessories. If an item such as a dust bag or spare earring backs isn’t listed, it is not included.

Q: How do you authenticate Fendi jewellery?
A: Every piece at A Retro Tale is rigorously inspected by our in‑house experts. We review materials and weight, logo execution, construction and finishing, engravings and stamps, and overall design consistency with known Fendi references. We stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell and can provide additional photos on request.

Q: Are they heavy to wear?
A: Given their compact dimensions and stud format, they wear light on the ear for most customers. Exact gram weight isn’t measured for this listing; please contact us if you’d like us to weigh them before purchase.
