LoeweAmazona Suede Bag

Q: What fits inside this Loewe Amazona Suede Bag?
A: With approximate dimensions of 30 x 22 x 12 cm, it is a practical everyday size for essentials such as a phone, wallet, keys, sunglasses, a small cosmetics pouch, and a compact tablet or e-reader. It is best suited to daily essentials rather than bulky items, so please refer to the Measurements on this page for the exact size.

Q: Can this bag be carried on the shoulder or crossbody?
A: This vintage Amazona is best carried by hand or in the crook of the arm. It features dual rolled leather handles with an approximate handle drop of 12 cm, and no shoulder strap is listed for this item.

Q: What is included with the bag?
A: This item comes with a padlock and keys. Everything included with this piece is listed in the product information on this page.

Q: How is the interior organised?
A: The bag is lined in tonal leather and includes one internal zip pocket, which is useful for smaller valuables such as cards, receipts, or keys you want to keep separate from the main compartment.

Q: Is this a vintage Loewe style?
A: Yes. The Amazona is one of Loewe’s signature bag families and has been associated with the house since the 1970s. This particular piece is a vintage suede version with classic top-handle styling.

Q: Where was this bag made?
A: According to the details provided for this item, it was made in Spain.

Q: How should I care for the suede exterior?
A: Suede should be handled gently. Use a soft suede brush to remove light surface dust, avoid rain and excess moisture, and keep it away from oils, perfumes, and direct heat. Store it in a breathable dust bag and lightly stuff it when not in use to help maintain its shape.

Q: Does suede require any extra caution in daily use?
A: Yes. Suede is naturally more delicate than smooth leather and can show rubbing, marks, and colour transfer more easily. It is best to avoid rough surfaces, overfilling, and prolonged contact with pale clothing if the material is richly dyed.

Q: What condition details should I note before buying?
A: This bag is listed in very good vintage condition. There is visible cracking on the edges, visible stains on the lining, and light scratches to the shiny silver-tone hardware. These signs of wear are consistent with a well-kept pre-owned suede bag and are worth reviewing carefully in the photos.

Q: How do you authenticate this bag?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale is carefully vetted by in-house experts using detailed checks of materials, construction, stitching, hardware, and brand markings. We stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell.
