Q: What typically fits inside the Louis Vuitton Epi Keepall 45?
A: With measurements of approximately 45 x 26 x 20 cm, it is best suited to overnight or weekend use. It will typically hold a few changes of clothes, a toiletry pouch, compact shoes and everyday essentials, depending on how you pack.

Q: Is the Keepall 45 suitable as cabin luggage?
A: Usually, yes. The 45 size is widely regarded as one of the more cabin-friendly Keepall sizes, and this bag measures 45 cm in length. Airline rules can vary by carrier, route and fare type, so it is always best to check your airline’s current hand-luggage policy before travelling.

Q: Does this bag come with a shoulder strap?
A: No. This specific item is designed to be carried by hand with dual rolled handles and does not include a shoulder strap. The handle drop is approximately 10 cm.

Q: What is Epi leather?
A: Epi leather is Louis Vuitton’s textured leather with a distinctive ribbed grain. It is appreciated for its structured feel, understated look and practical durability, which is why many buyers choose it for travel and regular use.

Q: How should I care for vintage Epi leather?
A: Wipe the surface gently with a soft, slightly damp cloth and avoid harsh cleaners, solvents, oils and prolonged exposure to direct heat or strong sunlight. It is also best not to overpack the bag, as this helps preserve both the leather and the shape.

Q: What does the date code SP0054 mean?
A: Louis Vuitton date codes are production codes rather than unique serial numbers. The letters indicate the production location and the numbers indicate the manufacturing date. Based on the pre-2007 format, SP0054 corresponds to France and May 2004.

Q: What condition is this specific bag in?
A: The overall condition is Very Good. The exterior shows scuffing on the corners with visible marks and scratches, the interior has light traces of use, and the hardware remains shiny with light scratches.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: Everything included is reflected in the product information for this item. For this bag, no additional items are included.

Q: How do you authenticate this bag?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale is carefully checked by specialists using details such as materials, construction, hardware, stamps and date code consistency. If you would like more product information before purchasing, you are welcome to contact us.
