If you carry bulkier items, please use the Measurements on this page as your guide.

Q: Can this bag be carried on the wrist?
A: Yes. The Sellier Dragonne style is designed as a wristlet clutch and this piece has a handle measurement of approximately 17 cm, making it suitable for hand or wrist carry.

Q: Is Epi leather a durable material?
A: Yes. Louis Vuitton Epi leather is known for its structured finish, distinctive textured grain, and strong day-to-day durability. It is generally more resistant to visible wear than smoother leathers, which is one reason vintage Epi pieces remain so popular.

Q: How should I care for vintage Epi leather?
A: Wipe it gently with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth and avoid abrasive cleaners, oils, perfumes, hand sanitiser, and prolonged exposure to heat, humidity, or direct sunlight. When not in use, store it in a breathable place and avoid overfilling so the structured shape is preserved.

Q: What does the date code MI0975 mean?
A: Louis Vuitton date codes are used to indicate where and when a piece was made. For vintage bags in this format, MI indicates production in France, and the numbers correspond to a manufacturing date in 1995. Please note that a date code helps with identification, but authentication should always consider the bag as a whole.

Q: What condition is this bag in?
A: According to the product information, the bag is in Very Good Condition with light traces of use. The exterior and interior are both noted as very good, and the hardware is described as shiny with light scratches.

Q: Are any extras included with this bag?
A: No. The product information states no accessories are included. If an item is not listed in the product information, it should not be expected to be included.

Q: Is this a good day-to-evening bag?
A: Yes. Its slim, structured silhouette and black Epi leather make it easy to style for evenings, events, dinners, or polished daytime use when you only need the essentials.

Q: Where was this bag made?
A: The product information lists France as the country of origin, which is consistent with this model and date code format.

Q: How do you authenticate Louis Vuitton items?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale is checked for authenticity by specialists who assess details such as materials, construction, hardware, stamps, and codes. Date codes are only one part of the process, so the overall craftsmanship and details are always considered together.
