Q: What is the design of the Louis Vuitton Essential V earrings?
A: These classic Essential V earrings feature Louis Vuitton’s iconic V motif, an engraved LV signature and a shiny gold-tone finish.

Q: Are these earrings made from solid gold?
A: The product information describes this pair as gold-tone metal, not solid gold. The gold colour refers to their appearance and does not indicate a gold purity rating.

Q: What condition are these earrings in?
A: This pre-owned pair is listed in Very Good Condition. The metal remains shiny with light scratches, so some visible signs of previous wear should be expected.

Q: Are these earrings suitable for pierced ears?
A: Yes. They have post and butterfly back closures for pierced ears; they are not clip-on earrings.

Q: Do these earrings come with a box or pouch?
A: No accessories are included, as stated in the product information. This pair therefore comes without a box or storage pouch.

Q: Has the authenticity of these earrings been checked?
A: Yes. The product information states that their authenticity has been checked and certified by Kathrine, A Retro Tale’s jewellery expert, who has 20 years of experience in vintage and luxury jewellery.

Q: Can I wear these earrings in the shower or when swimming?
A: Remove them before showering, bathing or swimming. Louis Vuitton advises keeping fashion jewellery away from water, humidity and salty environments to help protect its finish.

Q: Can the gold-tone finish tarnish or wear over time?
A: Fashion jewellery can dull, oxidise or develop surface wear over time. To help preserve the finish, apply perfume, hairspray and lotions before putting the earrings on, allow these products to dry, avoid abrasive surfaces, and remove the earrings before exercise or cleaning.

Q: How should I clean and store these earrings?
A: Gently wipe them with a soft, dry cloth. Do not immerse them in water or use chemical cleaners. Store each earring separately in a soft pouch or lined compartment, away from dust, moisture and heat. A storage pouch would need to be supplied separately.

Q: Are these earrings hypoallergenic or nickel-free?
A: The product information does not confirm that this pair is hypoallergenic or nickel-free, nor does it specify the post alloy. If you have metal sensitivities, contact A Retro Tale to ask whether further material details are available before purchasing.
