PradaSuede Shoulder Bag

Q: What typically fits inside this Prada Suede Shoulder Bag?
A: With approximate measurements of 32 × 28 × 12 cm, it comfortably carries daily essentials: a large smartphone, continental wallet, keys, slim sunglasses in a soft case, a small cosmetics pouch, an A5 diary/notebook, a compact umbrella and a small water bottle. Capacity can vary with how you pack—feel free to ask us for a tailored fit check for this exact piece.

Q: Will it fit a tablet, A4 documents or a laptop?
A: A4 documents generally fit when placed horizontally. Standard tablets (e.g., iPad, 11‑inch iPad Pro) typically fit without bulky cases. A slim 13‑inch laptop may fit horizontally, but the open‑top Velcro closure may not align and the added weight can affect comfort on the single strap—please contact us if you’d like us to test a specific device.

Q: Is the strap adjustable, and can I wear it crossbody?
A: The single flat shoulder strap is not adjustable. With an approximate 22 cm drop, it is designed for shoulder or hand/crook‑of‑arm carry and is not intended for crossbody wear. It sits most comfortably over light to medium layers.

Q: How secure is the closure and what is the interior layout?
A: The bag has an open top with a Velcro fastening for quick access. For daily use it offers practical security; for commuting or travel we recommend keeping the bag upright and placing valuables inside the internal zipped pocket or a small zip pouch. The interior features a black nylon lining with one zipped pocket.

Q: Is the exterior suede or velvet?
A: This listing specifies a brown velvet exterior, which has a soft, plush pile distinct from suede. Our photos show the exact texture and finish of this piece—if you’d like further confirmation (e.g., a video or additional close‑ups), just ask.

Q: How should I care for the velvet and silver‑tone hardware?
A: Keep the bag away from rain and moisture; if it becomes lightly damp, blot (don’t rub) with a soft cloth and allow it to air‑dry away from heat. Refresh the velvet nap gently with a clean lint/velvet brush; avoid solvents and vigorous rubbing to prevent shading. Be mindful of potential colour transfer from dark or newly dyed fabrics. Store the bag upright, lightly stuffed, in a breathable dust bag, and place a soft cloth between the strap and body to minimise pressure marks. For hardware, wipe with a soft, dry cloth—avoid metal polishes near the fabric.

Q: Does this bag have metal feet and what is their condition?
A: Yes—this piece features protective metal feet, and our condition notes mention a natural patina on the bottom feet. This is typical of vintage use; gently buff with a soft cloth and avoid abrasive cleaners.

Q: What is the condition of this specific item?
A: External condition: Good, with light traces of use, light scuffing on the bottom corners and a tear on an outer seam. Internal condition: Good, with a slight vintage smell. Hardware: patina present on the bottom feet. Please review our photos and condition notes, and let us know if you’d like additional close‑ups or advice on professional repair options.

Q: Is the bag heavy and how comfortable is it to wear?
A: As a medium shoulder bag in velvet with minimal hardware, it feels moderate in weight when lightly packed. Comfort depends on load; to maximise comfort, avoid overfilling and distribute weight evenly. We’re happy to provide an exact scale weight on request.

Q: What accessories are included and how is authenticity ensured?
A: This item includes an authenticity card (see Accessories). Every piece at A Retro Tale undergoes rigorous multi‑point authentication by our in‑house experts, examining materials, stitching, hardware, stamps and overall construction. This bag is labelled Made in Italy.
