ChanelCC Quilted Tassel Bag

Q: What typically fits inside this Chanel CC Quilted Tassel Bag?
A: With approximate measurements of 24 x 19 x 6 cm, it is ideal for daily essentials such as a phone, compact wallet or cardholder, keys, lipstick, and a few small extras. It is better suited to light day-to-evening use than to larger items such as a tablet, large purse, or water bottle.

Q: Can this bag be worn crossbody?
A: The 44 cm strap drop makes it best suited to shoulder wear. On some smaller frames it may sit as a shorter crossbody, but most buyers should expect a shoulder bag fit rather than a long hands-free crossbody.

Q: Is this considered a vintage Chanel bag?
A: Yes. The serial number 1715057 falls within Chanel's 1-series range, which is generally dated to around 1989-1991, making this a vintage piece.

Q: How can I assess authenticity on a vintage Chanel tassel bag?
A: Authenticity is judged through several details together, including the serial sticker, era consistency, quilting, stitching, hardware, logo placement, and overall construction. The serial number is a helpful dating tool, but it should never be the only point checked on its own.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: Everything included is listed in the product information. For this bag, the serial number is noted. Because an authenticity card, box, and dust bag are not listed, they should not be assumed to be included.

Q: What does the condition mean for this specific bag?
A: This piece is listed in very good condition, with light traces of use externally and internally. The hardware is described as shiny with light scratches, which is typical and expected for a well-kept vintage Chanel bag.

Q: How should I care for and store the bag?
A: Avoid overfilling the bag, keep it away from prolonged sunlight and moisture, and wipe it gently with a soft cloth. When not in use, store it upright, lightly stuffed with tissue, and ideally in a pouch or breathable dust bag to help preserve its shape and protect the chain from marking the leather.

Q: Is it suitable for everyday use?
A: Yes, it works very well for everyday essentials and transitions easily from day to evening. As a vintage leather bag, it is best enjoyed with mindful use rather than heavy loads or rough daily commuting.

Q: Why does it say made in Italy if Chanel is a French house?
A: Chanel is a French fashion house, but many authentic Chanel bags have been produced in either France or Italy. This bag's country of origin label states Italy, which is normal for Chanel.
