ChanelCC Tote Bag

Q: What typically fits inside this Chanel CC Tote Bag?
A: With measurements of approximately 29 x 26 x 10 cm, it is best suited to daily essentials such as a phone, long wallet, keys, sunglasses, a small cosmetics pouch, and an A5 notebook or small tablet. It is not likely to fit most laptops, so we recommend checking the Measurements on this page against anything you plan to carry.

Q: Can this bag be worn on the shoulder?
A: Yes. This bag has dual chain-link and leather shoulder straps, and the listed strap measurement is 38 cm. It is designed for shoulder carry rather than crossbody wear.

Q: Is this a vintage Chanel bag?
A: Yes. This piece is listed as vintage, and its seven-digit serial number places it within Chanel’s earlier serial-number era. A serial beginning with 2 is generally associated with production in the early 1990s.

Q: Is Chanel caviar leather durable?
A: Yes. Caviar leather is one of Chanel’s most practical finishes. Its grained texture is generally more resistant to scratches and helps the bag keep its shape better than smoother leathers, which makes it a strong option for regular use.

Q: What condition is this bag in?
A: This item is in Very Good Condition. The exterior shows scuffing on the corners and some minor marks, the interior has light traces of use, and the hardware remains shiny with light scratches.

Q: What product information is included with this item?
A: The product information notes the serial number. No authenticity card or box is listed, so only the items specifically mentioned on this page should be expected with the bag.

Q: Where was this bag made?
A: The country of origin label states Italy.

Q: How should I care for vintage pink caviar leather?
A: Avoid overfilling the bag, keep it away from prolonged sunlight and moisture, and wipe it gently with a soft cloth. For storage, keep it upright with light stuffing inside to help maintain its shape. As this is a light colour, extra care around dark clothing and colour transfer is also advisable.
