Q: What are the dimensions of this Chanel Classic Medium Caviar Double Flap Bag?
A: This bag measures 25 cm wide × 16 cm high × 7 cm deep. It is the medium size, offering a compact shape for everyday essentials.

Q: What does double flap mean?
A: The double-flap design has an outer flap and a second inner flap covering the main compartment. This creates a layered interior, so the usable space is smaller than the external dimensions might suggest.

Q: What can fit inside the medium Classic Flap?
A: It typically accommodates a mobile phone, a compact wallet or cardholder, keys and a few small essentials such as lipstick. The exact fit depends on the size of your belongings and how you arrange them. Avoid overfilling, as this can put pressure on the leather and distort the shape.

Q: Can this bag be worn crossbody?
A: The chain can be doubled for a shorter shoulder carry or extended for a longer shoulder carry. The listed strap measurements are 25/44 cm. Crossbody wear may suit smaller frames or shorter torsos, but the medium Classic Flap can sit high on the body, so a comfortable crossbody fit is not guaranteed.

Please note that the majority of our items are vintage and therefore have tales to tell unless stated otherwise. Therefore, please look at pictures, descriptions and measurements provided as they give you the best idea of the story this item has to tell.

* Please note that when you buy a vintage product, the dimensions may vary slightly from a new one depending on previous care and storage.

Q: What are the dimensions of this Chanel Classic Medium Caviar Double Flap Bag?
A: This bag measures 25 cm wide × 16 cm high × 7 cm deep. It is the medium size, offering a compact shape for everyday essentials.

Q: What is caviar leather, and is it durable?
A: Chanel caviar leather is grained calfskin with a distinctive pebbled texture. It is generally more resistant to visible scratches than smooth lambskin, although it is not scratch-proof and still requires careful handling. This bag is black.

Q: What does double flap mean?
A: The double-flap design has an outer flap and a second inner flap covering the main compartment. This creates a layered interior, so the usable space is smaller than the external dimensions might suggest.

Crossbody wear may suit smaller frames or shorter torsos, but the medium Classic Flap can sit high on the body, so a comfortable crossbody fit is not guaranteed.

Q: What condition is this particular bag in?
A: Both the exterior and interior are rated Very Good, with light traces of use. The hardware is shiny with light scratches. This is a pre-owned bag rather than a new, unworn item.

Q: What comes with this bag?
A: The product information lists a dust bag and a serial number tag. A box and authenticity card are not listed as included.

Q: Where was this bag made?
A: The country-of-origin information identifies this bag as made in France.

Q: How should I clean and store this caviar leather bag?
A: Gently wipe it with a soft, dry cloth and avoid cleaning products that could alter the leather's finish. Protect it from prolonged sunlight, heat and moisture. If it gets wet, carefully blot it dry with an absorbent, non-pilling cloth. Store it upright in its dust bag, with the chain wrapped in tissue paper to help prevent impressions on the leather.
