Please note that the majority of our items are vintage and therefore have tales to tell unless stated otherwise. Therefore, please look at pictures, descriptions and measurements provided as they give you the best idea of the story this item has to tell.

* Please note that when you buy a vintage product, the dimensions may vary slightly from a new one depending on previous care and storage.

Q: Do I need pierced ears to wear these Chanel earrings?
A: No. These earrings have clip-on closures that fasten onto the earlobes without requiring piercings.

Q: Are these clip-on earrings comfortable to wear?
A: Comfort varies depending on your earlobes and the pressure of the clips. A comfortable fit cannot be guaranteed for this pair. Try wearing them for a short period initially and remove them if they pinch or feel uncomfortable.

Q: What materials and colours do these earrings feature?
A: They feature gold-tone metal, burgundy cabochons and rhinestone embellishments. The exact metal alloy and cabochon material are not specified in the product information; gold-tone describes the colour rather than confirming solid gold.

Q: What condition are these earrings in?
A: They are in very good pre-owned condition, with light marks and scratches throughout the material. The hardware remains shiny with light scratches.

Q: What does the code 96P mean?
A: In Chanel's vintage costume jewellery dating system, 96P denotes the Spring 1996 collection. The code recorded for this pair is 96P.

Q: Where were these earrings made?
A: The country of origin is listed as France.

Q: Have these earrings been authenticated?

Q: Do these earrings come with a box or pouch?
A: No. This pair is supplied without accessories, so no box or pouch is included.

Q: Are these earrings nickel-free or hypoallergenic?
A: The product information does not confirm a nickel-free or hypoallergenic specification. Their suitability for sensitive skin cannot be guaranteed.

Q: How should I clean and store these vintage Chanel earrings?
A: Gently wipe them with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid water, soap, detergents and chemical cleaning products. Apply perfume and make-up before putting them on, and avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight and moisture. Store each earring separately in a soft pouch or lined compartment to help prevent scratches; storage accessories are not included.
