FendiFF 1974 Messenger Bag

Q: What typically fits inside the Fendi FF 1974 Messenger Bag?
A: With an approximate 24 × 18.5 × 1 cm interior and a slim profile, it comfortably carries daily essentials such as a smartphone, small wallet or cardholder, passport, keys, a slim sunglasses sleeve, and charging cables. It is not designed for tablets (including iPad mini), water bottles, or A5 notebooks due to the height and depth. Please refer to the Measurements on this page for exact dimensions.

Q: Can I wear it crossbody and adjust the drop?
A: Yes. It has a single adjustable webbing shoulder strap suitable for shoulder or crossbody wear for many builds. The drop is approximately 42 cm at a mid setting and can be shortened or lengthened to preference; the effective range will vary by wearer.

Q: Is the strap detachable or replaceable?
A: The strap is integrated into the design for everyday use. It is adjustable but not intended to be removed; please review the photos to see the attachment style.

Q: What does “FF 1974” refer to?
A: FF 1974 references an archival squared iteration of Fendi’s double‑F motif from the 1970s that was revived in modern collections. This piece showcases the motif through embossed black leather with silver‑tone hardware.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: Everything included is listed in the product information section. This piece currently shows no additional items beyond the bag itself.

Q: What is the condition?
A: Very Good overall with light traces of use inside and out; the hardware remains shiny with light surface scratches, as noted in the product information. Please inspect the photos for the most accurate view.

Q: How should I care for the embossed leather and hardware?
A: Wipe gently with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry immediately. Avoid harsh cleaners or soaking, which can flatten the embossing. Condition sparingly a couple of times per year, store lightly stuffed in a breathable dust bag, and keep away from direct sunlight/heat. Avoid overfilling to preserve the zip and structure; buff hardware with a clean microfibre cloth only.

Q: Is the leather water‑resistant?
A: Leather is not waterproof. Light rain is usually fine if wiped off promptly, but prolonged moisture may mark the material. Use a protective rain cover in heavy weather and avoid placing the bag on wet surfaces.

Q: How do you authenticate this bag?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale is rigorously authenticated by our in‑house experts via multi‑point checks of materials, stitching, construction, stamps, and interior codes or RFID tags where present. We stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell and can provide additional photos or details on request.

Q: Where was it made?
A: Italy, as stated on the internal label.
