HermèsToile & Vache Hunter Herbag Zip 31 Bag

Q: What is this Hermès Herbag Zip 31 made from?
A: This bag combines toile canvas with Vache Hunter cowhide leather. It is listed as red and made in France, offering the Herbag’s characteristic canvas-and-leather construction rather than an all-leather finish.

Q: What are the measurements of this bag?
A: This particular bag measures 30 cm wide, 26 cm high and 9 cm deep. The listed handle measurement is 8 cm and the strap measurement is 48 cm. Use these item-specific measurements rather than assuming the model name means an exact width of 31 cm.

Q: What can I fit inside the Herbag Zip 31?
A: Based on its dimensions, it should accommodate everyday essentials such as a phone, wallet, keys and a small cosmetics pouch. A compact tablet may fit, depending on its dimensions and case, but laptop compatibility is not confirmed. The usable interior is smaller than the external measurements, so avoid overpacking.

Q: Can this bag be carried on the shoulder or across the body?
A: The Herbag Zip 31 is designed for hand or shoulder carry, using its top handle or strap. This item has a listed strap measurement of 48 cm. Crossbody comfort depends on your height, clothing and preferred position, so a comfortable crossbody fit cannot be guaranteed.

Q: Does the Herbag Zip 31 have a zip across the main opening?
A: No. The main opening uses the Herbag’s leather flap, straps and signature Clou de Selle fastening. The Zip model features an exterior zipped back pocket for smaller essentials. Its main fastening is more involved than a simple zip-top closure.

Q: What condition is this pre-owned bag in?
A: This bag is rated Good Condition. Both the exterior and interior show light traces of use, while the hardware remains shiny with light scratches. It is not described as pristine or unused.

Q: What is included with this bag?
A: The product information lists a pouch, padlock and keys. A box, dust bag or other extras are not listed, so these should not be assumed to be included.

Q: Is this Herbag waterproof?
A: Do not treat this bag as waterproof. Its precise toile canvas finish is not specified, and the leather elements should be protected from rain and moisture. If the leather gets wet, gently blot it straight away with a soft, lint-free cloth and allow it to dry away from direct heat.

Q: How should I clean and store this bag?
A: Avoid commercial leather cleaners, oils, alcohol-based products and soaking the canvas. For stains or deeper cleaning, seek advice from Hermès after-sales service. Store the bag away from sunlight and heat in a dry, temperate environment, with light tissue stuffing to help retain its shape and a breathable dust cover if available.

Q: Can the canvas body be exchanged for another one?
A: The Herbag design has a detachable leather top, allowing compatible canvas bodies to be exchanged. However, no spare canvas body is listed in this item’s product information. Confirm compatibility with Hermès before attempting to fit a replacement body.
