Q: What material is this Tiffany & Co necklace made from?
A: This necklace is made from sterling silver and features a teddy bear pendant on a link chain with a spring ring clasp.

A: The chain perimeter is approximately 41 cm, which wears as a short necklace on most people. As fit can vary slightly from person to person, we recommend comparing this measurement with a necklace you already own for the best idea of where it will sit.

Q: What are the pendant measurements?
A: The teddy bear pendant measures approximately 2 cm in height, 1.5 cm in width, and 0.8 cm in depth.

Q: Is this piece vintage?
A: Yes, this is a vintage Tiffany & Co necklace, which gives it added character and collector appeal compared with current-production jewellery.

Q: What condition is the necklace in?
A: It is listed in very good condition with light traces of use. The hardware remains shiny with light scratches consistent with careful previous wear.

Q: Does sterling silver tarnish over time?
A: Yes, sterling silver can naturally tarnish over time when exposed to air, moisture, perfume, lotions, chlorine, or other chemicals. This is normal for silver jewellery and does not mean the item is not authentic.

Q: How should I care for this sterling silver necklace?
A: Gently wipe it with a soft cloth after wear and store it in a dry place away from humidity, perfumes, and harsh chemicals. If needed, use a silver polishing cloth suitable for sterling silver jewellery to help maintain its shine.

Q: Can I wear this necklace every day?
A: Yes, it can be worn regularly, but as with most vintage jewellery, it is best to remove it before showering, swimming, exercising, or sleeping to help preserve the silver and clasp over time.

Q: Does this necklace come with a box or other extras?
A: No. According to the product information, this piece comes with no accessories.

Q: How do you authenticate vintage Tiffany & Co jewellery?
A: At A Retro Tale, all items are inspected by experts before sale. For vintage Tiffany jewellery, authentication typically considers hallmarks, materials, craftsmanship, chain and clasp construction, and overall design consistency.
