VersaceMedusa Sunglasses

Q: Do these Versace Medusa sunglasses provide UV protection?
A: As this is a vintage pair with original grey-tinted lenses, UV performance depends on the specific lenses fitted. Many modern Versace lenses are UV400 (100% UVA/UVB), but vintage lenses can vary. If UV protection is essential, ask an optician to test them with a photometer in seconds, or consider fitting new UV400 lenses.

Q: Are the lenses polarised?
A: The product information states grey tinted lenses; unless polarised is explicitly mentioned, please assume they are non‑polarised. Versace offers polarised options in many models, and you can replace the lenses with polarised or prescription lenses if desired.

Q: Can I fit prescription or new lenses into this frame?
A: Yes. The acetate frame is generally prescription‑ready, and most opticians can fit UV400, polarised, or corrective lenses, subject to your prescription and the frame’s condition.

Q: How does this style fit?
A: The frame measures approximately 14 cm across and 6 cm high, which typically suits medium to broader face shapes. For the best guide, compare these measurements with a pair you already wear comfortably.

Q: Are these unisex?
A: Versace Medusa designs are widely worn by all genders. Fit and face shape matter more than any gender label; this pair is one size.

Q: How do I clean and care for acetate frames and lenses?
A: Rinse with lukewarm water, add a drop of mild dish soap, gently clean with your fingertips, rinse, then dry with a clean microfibre cloth. Avoid hot water, alcohol, acetone, window cleaners, or abrasive cloths. Store in a protective case away from heat.

Q: How can I verify authenticity?
A: Newer Versace eyewear often includes NFC/QR-enabled product labels for verification, while vintage pieces may not. Every item at A Retro Tale is authenticated by our experts before listing; we can provide additional images and details on request.

Q: Are these suitable for driving and bright sun?
A: Grey tints similar to category‑3 are generally comfortable for bright daylight and daytime driving. Remember that lens darkness affects comfort, not UV blocking—ensure lenses are UV400 for eye safety, and avoid any sunglasses for night driving.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: Everything that comes with the sunglasses is listed under product information on this page. If a case or cleaning cloth is not listed, it is not included—please contact us if you need clarification.

Q: What signs of wear should I expect?
A: This pair is graded Very Good with light signs of use, including a slight scuff on the left side and light scratches on the hardware. Please review the photos and condition notes for full details.
