GucciHorsebit Shoulder Bag

Q: What are the key details and measurements of this Gucci Horsebit Shoulder Bag?
A: It features beige GG canvas with brown leather trim and a Web stripe, silver-tone hardware, a single shoulder strap with chain detail, green satin lining with one internal pocket, and the signature Horsebit flap. Approximate measurements are 25 × 12 × 4 cm with a strap drop of about 21 cm. Made in Italy. This is a vintage piece.

Q: What typically fits inside?
A: Daily essentials such as a smartphone, small wallet or card holder, keys, a compact and a lipstick fit comfortably. Slim sunglasses may fit without a hard case. Bulky items like a water bottle or tablet are not recommended. Please compare your items to the measurements for the best guidance.

Q: Is the strap adjustable or suitable for crossbody wear?
A: The strap is a fixed-length shoulder strap with an approximate 21 cm drop. It is designed for shoulder carry and will be too short for crossbody on most frames.

Q: Will my phone fit?
A: Most modern smartphones fit easily given the 25 cm width, but very thick cases can reduce interior space. For certainty, compare your device to the interior height and depth and allow some room for the flap to close comfortably.

Q: How should I care for the GG canvas and leather trim?
A: Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth after use. Avoid overfilling, solvents and abrasive cleaners. Keep away from direct sunlight, heat and humidity, and avoid contact with cosmetics or oil-based products. When not in use, store the bag lightly stuffed in its dust bag to help maintain shape.

Q: Can I use the bag in the rain?
A: Light moisture can mark leather trim and may affect the canvas over time. If the bag becomes damp, blot gently with a soft cloth and allow it to air dry naturally away from heat sources. Do not use a hairdryer or place it on a radiator.

Q: How does A Retro Tale authenticate this bag and do serial numbers apply to vintage Gucci?
A: Every item is multi-point inspected by our in‑house experts. Gucci serial numbers are production codes rather than a public registration, and not all older vintage pieces have them. Newer Gucci items may include an NFC authenticity tag, which vintage pieces typically do not. We stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: Everything included is listed in the product information. For this bag, the listing shows box, dust bag and brand booklets.

Q: What does Very Good condition mean here?
A: You can expect light overall signs of wear consistent with careful use. For this specific piece: light traces of use, small scuffs at the corners, and shiny hardware with light surface scratches. The interior shows light signs of use only.

Q: Is aftercare or repair available later on?
A: Gucci boutiques offer aftercare assessment and may provide cleaning or repair services depending on parts availability and condition. We recommend bringing the bag and proof of purchase to a Gucci store for personalised advice.
